Those of us UUFHers who are active in social justice issues are trying to live out the spiritual values we have learned from our Seven Principles: We believe in affirming the inherent worth and dignity of every person; creating justice, equity and compassion in human relations; accepting one another as well as encouragement to spiritual growth, not only in our congregations, but in the world at large; a free and responsible search for truth and meaning; the right of conscience and the use of democratic process not only in our congregations but also in the world at large; the goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all; and respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part. We believe that one way to live our values is to work toward fair and just treatment of each and every person, here and now.
