Born in 1961 Corey was raised in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Mostly self-taught, Corey studied photography in the U.S. Air Force and excelled as a black and white photographic printing specialist. Eventually he created his own hand-painted t-shirts and became a vendor at various street fairs. At the request of his steady clients, he put his art on canvas. His works in acrylics and oils with rich earth-tones is inspired by his faith and love of God, family, music, dance and social justice. Corey is currently residing in Greenlawn.
A reception will be held March 11, Sunday, from noon – 2 pm. A percentage of the monies from the sale of his artwork will go to the Fellowship.
