Last Licks Café ~ Monthly CoffeehousellcafeLogo

On the fourth Saturday of each month from September through May, the UUFH hosts its Last Licks Café coffeehouse fundraiser, featuring a diverse array of musical talent, mostly from Long Island. Open mic time gives individuals a chance to share their varied talents, and the featured acts have ranged from singer-songwriters to instrumental jazz to vocal ensemble to chamber music. There’s a modest admission fee and tasty refreshments are on sale. (Fresh strawberries are the signature dessert.)

loisMAnnieMLois Morton is a performing songwriter who has delighted audiences throughout the New York metropolitan area for the last few years with her abundant charm and humorous songs of social commentary. Reinventing herself, Lois has gone from being an educator and therapist to a singer-songwriter with a rapier wit and a contemporary approach.  Her show “As I See It” highlights Lois’ original, often hilarious songs which encourage us to laugh at ourselves. She has released two CDs of original songs – As I See It and 20th Century Girl.  For more information, visit: www.loismorton.com.

Annie Mark and Chris James – Annie and Chris move seamlessly from genre to genre as they draw from their varied musical tastes for their shows: Americana, blues, country, folk, rock. Whether playing originals or paying homage to those who have come before, Annie and Chris, strong individual performers as well as a dynamic duo, bring their devotion and dedication to serving up each song to their listeners with all their heart and soul. A powerful, moving, not to be missed show.
