On Sunday, February 23rd, following service at 12:15 p.m., the UUFH is pleased to offer a unique presentation by renowned UU minister Reverend Dr. Linda Anderson, who will support a conversation on how we deal with loss and change. The UUFH has experienced the loss of many beloved members and friends. Each loss hurts and multiple losses multiply the pain, and with these losses come changes in how we are able to share the work of the congregation. Rev. Anderson will guide a conversation about how we can work through loss and continue to grow and look forward to new experiences individually and as a community.

Rev. Anderson has led interfaith bereavement groups throughout Long Island. She has presented workshops that involve approaches to conflict, caring for the dying and those who love them, conversations on wishes for the end of life, and how to face the future with a positive attitude. Since 2018, she has served as the President of the Long Island Area Council. She is also on the Board of the Unitarian Universalist Trauma Response Ministry and for 2019-20 is the President of the Three Village Interfaith Clergy Association.

Please join us for this important conversation that is sure to be enlightening. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity. Child care will be provided (please let Danielle Burby know by Wed., Feb. 19, if it is needed via email, rec@uufh.org). Bagels will be available. –Presented by the Committee on Ministry and Pastoral Care
