Each fall since 1978, the UUFH has held a fundraiser that is an important part of our annual operating budget and in fact last year raised over $28,000. It’s also an exciting social event where you can join us for dinner and stay for the auction, or just come for the auction and delicious desserts. What we offer is the chance to attend parties, dinners and excursions and to get services, goods and instructions. And all these items are offered through either silent bids or a live auction.

We can’t do it without your offerings, so we’re asking that you contribute to the auction booklet no later than October 20 by entering your items here: http://www.togetherauction.com/uufh You can also fill out forms available at the UUFH on Sundays. If you need ideas or help, please ask me. If you want to offer what you did last year, just pick a new date. But hurry because the calendar is already filling up and whenever possible we don’t want to have competing events.

Since this is our 40th year, it may interest you to know that in 1978, some of the top offerings were:

·       One dead car rescue mission from Wilt Baty

·       Plant sitting from Eleanor Schmidt

·       Personalized computerized biorhythm chart from Ginny Kushnick

·       July 4th pool party from Jean Baron

·       A 4-year-old wire-haired fox terrier from Teddy Becker (this option isn’t available in 2018)

Help make the auction come to life! Volunteers are also needed to make this event happen, so please contact me at lizaburby@gmail.com to see what you can do to help. And mark your calendars for Friday, November 16 at 6 pm for set-up, always a lively and fun evening that ends with pizza and snacks.
