This year the South Huntington School District (who we collected school supplies for in the past) is requesting we purchase:

LOCAL super market $25 gift cards for those families most in need this Thanksgiving season.

They are also collecting $25 gift cards from LOCAL stores for children during the holiday season.

UUFH Social Justice will be in the UUFH Parking Lot from 3-4:30pm next Sunday, 11/22 collecting gift cards and cash or checks if you want us to buy a gift card for you in your name and bring it to them. Please, wear a mask and practice social distancing. If writing a check please, make payable to UUFH – put in note “Holiday Sponsor SJM”.  Or you can purchase a card and bring it or mail it to the school’s office yourself, see the address information below.  Please, don’t send cash or checks to the school, they only want cards.

Please, only purchase cards from LOCAL stores in the South Huntington area because many of these families have very limited transportation and please, No big box store cards since those usually require membership. Some suggestions: King Kullen, Lidl, Target Grocery (Inside Target), CTown Supermarkets are in the South Huntington area.

Call me at 631-427-6582 if you have any questions.Thank you, Chris McDonald (Secretary for UUFH Social Justice Ministry)
