UUFH will celebrate Earth Day on April 14 with a Fair in the Social Hall after the service showcasing how you can help stop global warming and clean the environment. Beth Fiteni, from the Long Island Organics Council will have information about composting. Adults and children will have a chance to make their own cleaner cleaners—free of harmful chemicals. Learn about bees and the pesticides that can kill them when used in your own backyard. Join Dr. Bonnie Sagar of Huntington Calm and send a postcard urging the Huntington Town Board to ban the use of gas leaf blowers that deafen workers and pollute the air. Take a tour of our Grow-to-Give Garden and look for an opportunity to plant a tree on UUFH grounds!
