Upcoming Services

Sunday, September 13 at 10:30 am

At the start of our year together, everyone is invited to bring a little water from wherever the summer took them and pour it into one bowl, and once it’s all in there nobody can tell whose came from the beach and whose came from the kitchen tap. We do this every year, and this year we’re doing it in a country coming undone, so we’re also asking what we’re going to need from each other. Bring one small thing you picked up along the way as well, like a stone or a shell or anything else you ended up keeping, because it will stay with us all year and become part of how we share our joys and sorrows each week, and if you don’t have any water, come anyway, since there’s plenty here.

What to bring: a small jar of water, and one small thing you picked up this summer, a rock, a shell, a stick, whatever you found. If you forget, there’s water here and a bowl of spares. For the potluck, a dish to share if you’re able.

Connected Hour begins this Sunday
Starting September 13, the hour after the service becomes our Connected Hour, the part of Sunday where we get to know each other and find ways to get involved. This week it starts with the potluck in the social hall, and there will be a conversation starter on every table, tied to the month’s theme, for anyone who wants an easy way in. On September 27 the Village Fair takes over Connected Hour, when our committees and groups set up tables so you can find your people and your passion.
